innisfree - Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil

Being an innisfree fan, the Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil is one of my many favourite product. It was also one of the few innisfree products I had bought when I first stepped into an innisfree shop a year ago.

Innisfree has a variety of cleansing oil  - Olive Oil, Apple Juicy and Green Tea and all have good reviews.

So why Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil?
Olive Oil just sounds too oily for my oily skin but Green Tea sounds milder for my sensitive skin. I bought a bottle to try and it was great for me! It has a nice and mild green tea scent which is quite therapeutic while cleansing my face after a long day of work. Some cleansing oil does clog pores too but not the green tea pure cleansing oil (at least that's for me).

My Steps
1. Pump an appropriate amount on my dry hands
2. Apply the oil around my face and start massaging to remove the make-up
3. Wash off the oil with water
4. Wash my face with cleansing foam (I'm currently using IOPE Ideal Cleansing Foam - Creamy Moisturiser.)

Bonus - Eco-Fill
You can simply refill your Green Tea Pure Cleansing Oil! It's more economical (cheaper) for consumer and at the same time it's eco-friendly. By purchasing the Eco-fill, we are "saving" a plastic bottle.

What I like
- The green tea scent
- Doesn't clog my pores
- Effectively removes my make-up
- Easy to wash away with water
- Reasonably priced

What I don't like
None.

Retail Price
Bottled - SGD26
Eco-Fill - SGD18

Will I purchase this again?
Yes

Tips
Don't use it when your face or hands are wet. It's water soluble. Make sure you cleanse it off cleanly after use. It's highly recommended to cleanse your face again with

innisfree NO-SEBUM Mineral Powder

Finally, here's my first product review: innisfree NO-SEBUM Mineral Powder

I chose this to be the first product that I review because I really love it. Discovered it only a few months ago, I have just finished using my first tub of no-sebum mineral powder and I'm on my second.

Quick Intro

What I like
I use this like a loose powder, to apply it after I have put on my bb cream and concealer. So what do I like about this product?
  1. Fine & matt texture after it's applied on skin.
  2. Has a mint smell and it's refreshing when putting on skin especially early in the morning when you have to drag yourself to work.
  3. Helps to control oil (of course, it's impossible to control oil for the entire day esp. in Singapore, you will need to reapply if you like to).
  4. A good loose powder. Though it's white, it blends into your skin after application.
  5. From observation, it doesn't clog my pores.
  6. Reasonably priced.
  7. Light hence easy to bring along when travelling (overseas).
What I don't like
None. I do think that it's quite small a tub (5g) but it helps to keep it's "freshness" and less chances to use contaminated product.

Retail Price
SGD10

Will I purchase this again?
Yes

Tips
This is not suitable for dry skin since it absorbs excessive sebum. For those with oily skin, remember oily does not mean moisturised/hydrated. Be diligent with your daily hydrating routine. If your skin is dry and flake, the powder will make the dead skin even more obvious.

The Beginning

I just came back from Seoul (again) and while unpacking and rearranging all my skin care & makeup products,it dawned on me that maybe I should start a blog to review the products I have tried. Online reviews help me alot when making purchasing decisions, even small items like skincare products and cosmetic. l don't want to risk to "spoil" my face.

Sadly, I'm not born with good complexion. My skin is proned to acne (even at this age - adult acne). Not being a very high income earner, I try my best to find products that are reasonably priced and effective. To me, expensive products are not necessarily effective. What's important is to find something that is suitable for your skin.

Hope this blog gives you more insights and help you in your purchasing decisions.
